Stranger in a Strange Land
I really am turning into a full-blown geek.  So this morning was the WWDC (World Wide Developer’s Conference 2009) where Apple unveils new product updates and new hardware. The biggest rumor, which came true, was the new iPhone 3GS. It is the same design as the 3G but with a few new features including video, voice command, better battery life, and a lower price point. But, it does not have enough new features or design to make me switch from my current iphone 3g (that is less than a year old). My “old” iphone will get an upgrade however, with new software that will make it possible to search the whole phone (including email!), copy & paste, MMS and remote wipe. All for free- June 17.
The one thing I am really excited about is the new Leopard upgrade (the operating system on Macs) It’s called Snow Leopard and is only a $30 upgrade. You can now run Exchange from your computer instead of having to login to Outlook when away from your work email. This is a direct blow to Microsoft obviously, and a nudge to businesses and corporations around the world that they can easily switch to Apple products and get away from Windows (something I think would benefit every company). Anyway, there are a ton of new features that make anxious to not only upgrade my laptop, but also bite the bullet and get a big, hefty desktop. Check out the new stuff here...
